Terms & Conditions of Trade

1. Definitions
Company – Coast 2 City Electrical.
Customer – The person or business requesting services.
Services – All electrical work, labour, materials, and associated services supplied by the Company.
Quoted Work – Services supplied under a written quotation.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or accepting services from Coast 2 City Electrical, the Customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms apply to all domestic and commercial work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Pricing & Charges
Minimum call-out and labour charge is 1 hour.
After the first hour, labour is charged in 30-minute increments.
Quoted Work is charged at the agreed price; variations will incur additional costs.
Emergency services, including urgent call-outs, may attract higher rates.
All prices are in AUD and exclude GST unless stated.
4. Quotations
Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Quotes are based on site information provided; actual conditions may affect final pricing.
Additional work not included in the original quote requires Customer approval.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the Services unless otherwise agreed.
Deposits may be requested prior to commencing work.
Late payments may attract interest and recovery costs.
Ownership of materials remains with the Company until full payment is received.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Provide safe, clear access to the work area.
Ensure all required approvals, permits, and consents are obtained unless otherwise agreed.
Disclose hazards such as asbestos, faulty wiring, or unsafe structures.
7. Materials & Goods
The Company may supply materials; manufacturer warranties apply where applicable.
Materials remain the property of the Company until paid.
Substitutions may occur if original products are unavailable, but replacements will be equivalent in quality.
8. Warranties & Liability
Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from completion.
Warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by misuse or alteration by the Customer
Pre-existing faults or defects
Work modified by others after completion
Liability is limited to re-supplying the Services or covering the cost of re-supply.
The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. EV Charger Installations
Installation complies with Australian Standards and manufacturer requirements.
Customer is responsible for site conditions and electrical capacity.
Any required upgrades to switchboards or wiring will be charged separately.
10. Safety & Compliance
All work is carried out in accordance with Australian Standards and NSW legislation.
The Company may refuse or halt work if unsafe conditions are present.
11. Cancellations & Delays
Cancellation fees may apply for short-notice cancellations.
Deposits may be non-refundable if costs have been incurred.
Delays caused by factors outside the Company’s control (e.g., weather, supply shortages) are not the Company’s responsibility.
12. Privacy
Personal information is collected to provide Services and manage accounts.
Information will not be shared except as required by law or for service delivery.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to NSW courts.
14. Amendments
The Company may update these Terms from time to time.
